COVID-19 Guidelines

Our guidelines to protect you and us. January 2022

During this challenging time, we have altered how we work to ensure that COVID protection measures are maintained.

We have re-opened our doors to the Small Animal Reception, consulting rooms and waiting room upstairs. You are welcome to come up to reception with your pet and you will be directed to the waiting room or consulting room accordingly.

We are, as always, focused on providing our usual high standards of care. Rest assured that we are dedicated to our job, despite the different conditions in which we find ourselves, and that your animals are always our number one priority

We would be grateful if, where possible, only one person accompanies each pet into the building, to minimise the number of people in the building.

We always wear masks, both inside and outside, and we take every precaution, exercising social distancing and very frequent hand sanitisation, to reduce contamination. We would politely request that you also wear a mask.

If you think you might have COVID-type symptoms, or are test-positive, please do not come in, but phone reception from your car. Equally, if you feel you would rather not come inside, let us know and a vet or nurse can come to see you at the car.

Do request a telephone consultation if this is appropriate for you. We can discuss the case, perhaps with photos or videos that you send in by email, and may not need to physically see your animal.

The Farm/Equine Reception facing the carpark is open to receive clients two at a time to check details, pay bills, and collect farm medications.

We request that you give us 48 hours’ notice for prescriptions, for both pet and farm medications.

Farm work and Equine work

We are continuing to do calls, and see animals at the practice. However, we will require that social distancing, and mask-wearing, is implemented when inside buildings.

Please notify us if there is anyone self-isolating on your premises, or if there is a positive COVID case.

Due to staff constraints, we will need at least 24 hours’ notice for all medicine orders, and would appreciate 48 hours’ notice where possible, and for bulk orders. These will be available at the Farm/Equine Reception facing the carpark for collection at the appropriate time.

We can either take payment at the Reception desk, by phone, or by BACs, details for which are provided on your invoice.

Thank you for your valued custom.
